Working Student Program

Qualified riders are invited to participate in our working student program to gain further experience, offset the cost of riding, and build their skill set.

Riders competent in the basics of grooming, tacking, and horse handling are invited to participate in our working student program. This is a great opportunity for riders less fortunate to gain access to the sport at a higher level, train at a top hunter/ jumper program, and offset the expenses associated riding. A number of our working students have achieved their dreams and accomplished goals they never thought possible through our working student program. Many of our working students have gone on to be professionals in the hunter/jumper world or attend Equine Studies programs in college.

Working students have the option to work as little of 4 hours per week or fill more shifts to better offset expenses. Our AM shift runs from 12pm-4pm weekdays and 10am- 2pm on weekends, while our PM shift is from 4pm-8pm weekdays and 2pm-6pm on weekends. An additional “PM Turn-In” shift is available on weekends from 1pm-6pm. To supplement their regularly scheduled shift(s), working students are encouraged to pick up additional shifts on an as-needed basis through our Working Student Group Chat.

Qualified, motivated working students ages 16 and up have the opportunity to groom at horse shows and work alongside our team of professional grooms in order to further their experience and add to their skill set and earn added income.
